The Vision PC Demo will run on the following PC operating systems:
As with any Vision system, the video card is most important hardware component. Video cards have two primary benchmarks -- GPU clock speed and Memory. While memory is key, the speed of the chip is most critical. Check out the FAQs for additional information regarding system requirements.
Download the Vision PC Demo HERE. Once the download has completed, run the Installer. You can also choose to install supported Vectorworks and 3D Studio Max plugins at the same time. Allow the updater to run at the end of the process to ensure you have the latest fixture libraries and symbol files.
On your desktop, you should see a number of new shortcuts. If you double-click the Files shortcut, you will find a folder call "Demo Documents". This includes several support files, including a Vectorworks file used to create the demo, an excel spreadsheet with all patch info, and several console showfiles.
The Vision PC demo will support DMX from Artnet, HogNet and Sandnet. Unfortunately, the PC Demo does not support MA-Net. This restriction has been requested by MA Lighting to protect their protocol. However, the purchased version of Vision DOES support all iterations of MA-Net. As each console has unique requirements, we recommmend that you check out the DMX Connectivity section of the Forums for detailed instructions for your console.
Should you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact the Support desk for assistance. Enjoy the demo, and we look forward to having you as a customer soon!!
